Now Driving: Authentic Afghan Cuisine

Washington, DC

We are excited to introduce four new individuals to our cohort, all of whom are recent Afghan refugees who want to bring their delicious cuisine to new horizons!

Jahantab is a graduate of the University of Herat, taught for seven years, established a private kindergarten, and founded an NGO for women and children before becoming a chef. Jahantab’s passion for cooking began with serving her food at many ceremonies in Afghanistan which kickstarted her determination to join the culinary field. Jahantab hopes to, in her words, “have my own restaurant where I serve delicious foods to different cultures and have many students to train.” Her dedication to working and teaching is celebrated here at Let’s Chow and we cannot wait to see her progress.
