Calavera Coffee Company began selling specialty coffee online and at local green markets in 2021. Founder Derek Suhre enlisted with the Kentucky National Guard in 2009 and was commissioned in 2011. In 2013, he was deployed to Afghanistan and transferred to Florida National Guard in 2015 where he ultimately resigned in 2018 as Captain. Derek and his wife, Jesy, enjoy snowboarding, nature, bourbon, coffee, and plants.
